Komen Italia for prevention projects in the fight against breast cancer
For the 4th year in a row, Slamp is committed to supporting Women in the fight against breast cancers by supporting Komen Italia, an association active throughout the country and at the forefront of women's health protection.
Slamp is turning Pink to make a difference: giving new hope to those facing the difficult challenge of breast cancer and giving them light in their darkest hours. Slamp's donations-with its luminous creations and support for the Pink Tie Balls in Rome and Naples -have enabled Komen Italia to strengthen its commitment by organizing additional Caravan of Prevention days to promote women's health.
Komen Italia is the association at the forefront of the fight against breast cancer, based on volunteerism and active throughout the country. It works to generate economic resources to be allocated to its own projects and those of other Associations engaged in the fight against breast cancer, and since 2000 it has invested more than 26 million euros in new projects for women's health, including:
- 180 multi-year study awards to young doctors for research or clinical improvement projects at centers of excellence in Italy and abroad;
- 1,200 Women's Health Promotion Days to offer free and home-based instrumental examinations for early detection of breast and gynecological cancers to 265,000 women in 17 Italian regions with the high-tech Mobile Units of the Caravan of Prevention;
- Financial contributions to 350 associations for health promotion projects throughout Italy.
Created in Rome, where it has its operational headquarters, today Komen Italia is present in 7 Italian regions and works in collaboration with a vast network of "Friendly Associations" in over 100 cities, thanks to a network of volunteers and numerous testimonials who support the Association with commitment and passion, among them Maria Grazia Cucinotta and Rosanna Banfi.
Komen Italia is also a founding member of Think Pink Europe, a network of nonprofit organizations with which it carries out a Race for the Cure development program in Europe.

Slamp has already made a donation of €5,000.00 to Susan G. Komen Italia. Therefore, the purchase of the products involved does not affect the donation.
Amount donated by Slamp from 2021 to 2023 amounted to €17,000, which allowed Komen Italia to strengthen its commitment by organizing additional women's health promotion days through the Caravan of Prevention project.
