The beloved Roman chef Max Mariola – boasting 4 million followers on TikTok - on January 24, 2024, opened his highly anticipated first restaurant in the Brera area of Milan, located on Via San Marco. The chef and food influencer is set to bring "The Sound of Love" up close and personal.
No experience exists without having been attracted by frequency; emotions, even love and hate, are harmoniously tied to specific vibration. Vibrations – pillar concept of Slamp - resonate and are transformed into unique objects.
The architecture firm Redaelli e Associati, responsible for the restaurant's design, chose the Nuvem luminous ceiling as decorative lighting, in the warm Velvet version designed by Portuguese architect Miguel Arruda, and for the tables, Marc Sadler's Accordéon Battery.
Nuvem is a modular compositional system of about 1 square meter (hexagonal section) that can be infinitely composed, creating equally infinite landscapes that float in space.
For Max Mariola's restaurant project, 61 modules are installed with 27 spotlights with bidirectional light attachment GU10.
Marc Sadler's Accordéon battery-powered lamp has a soft-touch dimming system that allows customers to adjust the light intensity to their liking during dinner.
The lamp's diffusers are hand-pleated by Slamp's Sarte della Luce in the headquarters on the outskirts of Rome.
